Welcome to Towards An Orderly Muslim Household

Tired of an unorderly household?

I was too. So I decided to take control, insha Allah.

This site is the result of my household organization efforts.

It contains printables, step by step instructions that I use to organize, links to related resources, and insha Allah, motivation to help others start reorganizing their households.

It's a work in progress, but at the present, I am updating quite regularly.

I hope you find it helpful.

What is an orderly household?

Everyone will have their own definition of what constitutes an orderly household. Some definitions might include:

(Source:

Homehighlight.org)

1. A calm, structured household.

2. A place of warmth, love, and kindness.

3. A reasonably clean, neat house.

4. Good, nutritious meals at regular times.

5. Regular schedules and routines for homework and chores.

6. Regular bedtimes.

7. Daily reading together

8. A time of family prayer and Bible reading before bed
.

Substituting the Quraan for the bible and the wajib and nafl prayers for the family prayer, an orderly Muslim household might also include:

-A household that remembers Allah throughout the day and night through duaa and other forms of ibaadah.

-Daily Quraan Reading/Memorization

-Good Adab and respectfulness towards each other

This site is aimed at providing tips, "projects", printables, and motivation especially for the Muslimah homemaker (but there's lots that may be helpful even if you are not Muslim).

The Muslimah homemaker has many roles: slave of Allah, wife, woman, mother, teacher, housekeeper, cook.

My ultimate goal is to provide resources that help the Muslimah carry out all these important roles more efficiently for the sake of Allah.
